STEMVentures is a nonprofit organization based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, dedicated to empowering youth through hands-on science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs. While we offer a variety of STEM learning experiences, our flagship focus is drone education, where students design, build, and fly drones while exploring coding, engineering, and innovation.
Mission: To ignite curiosity and unlock potential by providing practical, engaging STEM programs that connect learning to real-world discovery and innovation.
Vision: To prepare tomorrow’s leaders with the curiosity, skills, and confidence to solve real-world problems through technology, teamwork, and innovation.
STEM education isn’t just about science or technology, it’s about teaching students to think critically, solve problems, and innovate with purpose.
In today’s world, drones, robotics, and coding are more than tools; they’re gateways to creativity, exploration, and future careers. Yet too many students, especially from underrepresented backgrounds, still lack access to these opportunities.
STEMVentures exists to close that gap. Through practical, hands-on programs, we help students see how the skills they learn today can shape the world they’ll lead tomorrow.
When young minds engage with STEM, they don’t just learn about technology, they learn that they can create it.
Stella Mungai is the founder of STEMVentures, an FAA-certified drone pilot and STEM educator with a passion for helping young people connect learning to purpose. She holds a UAV Credential from Rogers State University, where she completed the Design, Build, and Fly Program, gaining hands-on expertise in drone systems and aerial operations.
Stella also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Appropriate Technology from Kenyatta University and a Master of Science in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, blending technical depth with a global outlook.
Through STEMVentures, Stella creates opportunities for young learners to explore how technology, creativity, and problem-solving can shape their future.
Her guiding belief is simple: “Innovation shouldn’t have borders—neither should opportunity.”
